Our Story
Founded in 2025 in Virginia, BuildRace Labs LLC sits at the intersection of rarely-combined qualifications: federal-grade software and AI engineering, active real estate licensure in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia, and firsthand Housing Choice Voucher landlord and property management experience.
Our technical foundation was built on enterprise systems at Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman — mission-critical software, DevOps and cloud infrastructure, federal compliance, and large-scale data systems serving millions of Americans. That engineering rigor is what we now bring to Public Housing Authorities and state housing agencies.
What makes BuildRace Labs different is the lived experience behind the code. As an active Section 8 landlord and property manager — handling tenant placement, rent collection, maintenance, HQS inspections, HAP reconciliation, and RFTA processes — and as a licensed real estate agent working across the DC metro region — we understand the exact pain points PHAs, housing operators, and HCV landlords are trying to solve. We don't build generic IT for housing. We build technology from inside the system.
